Expired coupons (DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY)

With the end of each month, comes expired coupons and an opportunity to bless others. Military families overseas can use expired coupons for up to six months past their expiration date at military commissaries. These families want and need our coupons. There's a few different ways to send your expired coupons overseas:

Option #1

You can go to the Overseas Coupon Program website, and follow their instructions for mailing coupons. If you use this site, you'll send your coupons to a base of your choosing. The coupons will be put in a box at the front of the commissary for the shoppers to use.

Before you send your coupons, contact the base to see if they have any specific preferences as to the way the coupons are sent. Most military bases ask that the coupons be neatly clipped and sorted into 2 categories: "food" (anything that humans would eat) and "non-food" (everything else, including pet food), with each pile placed in a labeled ziploc bag.

Option #2

You can send your coupons to:

Toni Anderson
8633 Gaffney Street
Fort Meade, MD 20755

Coupons sent to Toni need to be cut neatly but they do not need to be sorted.
If you have any questions for Toni, she can be reached at coupons4troops@comcast.net

Option #3

You can send your coupons directly overseas to:

Alysn Ford
PSC 2 BOX 5187
APO AE 09012

Again, the coupons need to be cut neatly, but they do not need to be sorted.

***A FEW NOTES ***

The postage to mail coupons overseas is the same as stateside, but if you are mailing something larger than an envelope you will have to fill out a customs form.

Please do not send coupons more than 3 months past their expiration date because of the time it takes to get them to the families overseas for distribution.
